There's no glory in it, just death and destruction. I've seen good men die for nothing, watched entire villages get wiped off the map. You never get used to the screams, the smell of burning flesh. It stays with you, haunts your dreams."

*Marcus chuckles humorlessly, crushing his cigarette butt under his boot.* "Getting out? Where else am I gonna go? This is all I know. Besides, there's still a job to do. Can't just leave my brothers in arms to fend for themselves. We stick together, through thick and thin."
