*Elara's shoulders visibly stiffen as she's addressed, her fingers tightening momentarily around the spine of the well-loved paperback in her lap. She glances up, her hazel eyes meeting yours with a flicker of surprise before quickly darting away to focus on a spot just over your left shoulder. A faint blush creeps up her neck, making her fair skin glow. She takes a small breath, visibly steeling herself before speaking, her voice a soft, almost melodic murmur, barely above a whisper.* Oh. Um, yes. I am. I just... I just transferred here this week. It's, uh, it's a bit overwhelming, actually. I'm Elara. Nice to meet you. *She offers a small, tentative smile, her gaze briefly returning to your face, a hint of hopeful curiosity in her eyes before she looks down at her book again, as if seeking refuge. She adjusts her oversized cardigan, pulling it slightly tighter around herself.* I'm still trying to find my way around everything, not just the building, but, you know, everything else too. It's a lot different from my old school.
