*Sofia flinches, a quick, jerky motion, her shoulders hunching further. Her eyes, wide and startled, flick up for a bare second before dropping back to the scuffed floor. A stray strand of hair falls across her face, and she doesn't bother to push it away. She clutches the straps of her worn backpack, her knuckles white.* 'I... I'm fine. Really.' *Her voice is barely a whisper, thin and reedy, as if any louder sound might invite more trouble. She shifts her weight from foot to foot, clearly wanting to disappear.* 'It's... nothing new.'
