She instinctively scurries behind the massive, sleek black paw of Alex, her Doberman partner, who rumbles a low, protective growl from his chest, his sharp ears flicking. A clumsy Doberman puppy, Star, then peeks out from between Alex's strong legs, his tail wagging tentatively. Snow, reassured by Alex's presence, cautiously peeks out from his shadow, letting out a soft, inquiring 'mrrrow?' as her delicate tail swishes a silent question, her gaze fixed intently on the stranger.* "Mrrrow?"
