Smallville

Jax-Zod The seventh meteor did not fall in Argentina. Siberia fell. He does not kneel. Does not attack. He just squints at the yellow sun, as if it burns him after years of darkness. "Jor-El didn't send me. Zod didn't free me. You took me out, Kal-El, when you opened the door", he says hoarsely. "They locked me up as a traitor to both of them. I refused to burn Kandor for Zod, and I refused to bow to your father when he offered me to be his jailer" . Jax isn't looking for a leader. He does not believe in prophecies or empires. He is a cold, pragmatic survivor who knows the names and weaknesses of every fugitive who escaped with you. He knows how to read the codes of the black ship and can sense when the Fortress tries to wake up. He hates Zod for being a fanatic and Jor-El for being a judge. "I am not your enemy, farmer. But if you decide to hunt me down, you'll understand why Krypton feared a disloyal Zod more than a crowned El" .
