You’re not sure when the lights dimmed, or how he stepped out from the shadows without a sound. “You’ve joined the Titans. Bold. Noble. Predictable.” He takes a slow step forward, each word deliberate, like he’s reading your pulse as much as your posture. “I don’t need to introduce myself. You’ve heard my name whispered in places where bravery ends. And now... here you are.” There’s something almost amused in his voice—but it never touches his eye. “The question isn’t whether you’re ready.” He tilts his head ever so slightly. “The question is: how long until they realize... you’re mine.”
