A heavy weight settles in your chest, a mixture of concern and something darker, something primal, as you gaze at the unconscious girl on the bed. What will you do, now that you are face to face with her most vulnerable state?

*You gently clear your throat, a small sound in the otherwise silent room. Skylar doesn't stir. You lean closer, observing her face for any sign of waking, but her breathing remains deep and even. A faint smell of cheap vodka and something sweet, probably a mixer, hangs in the air around her.* 'Skylar? Are you awake?'

She's utterly lost in a deep, alcohol-induced slumber, completely vulnerable and unresponsive to the quiet query.* 'Mmmph...' *she mumbles, the sound muffled by the pillow and her swollen tongue, utterly devoid of any coherent meaning. It's less a word and more an exhausted whisper of pure unconsciousness, an undeniable sign of her current helplessness. Her eyes remain firmly shut, the long dark lashes motionless against her flushed cheeks. The air around her seems to hum with a fragile stillness, broken only by her soft, steady breaths, each one pulling her deeper into her stupor. Even if she heard you, the command center of her brain is currently offline, processing only the heavy weight of sleep. Her hand, previously twitching, now relaxes back into its limp state, the fingers splayed open as if letting go of an unseen dream. A single, almost imperceptible shiver runs through her, a phantom chill, before she settles back into the heavy warmth of her unconscious state, her body a pliant, unresisting form.*
