You've been observed, noticed in a way no one else dares. I am Skull, a silent guardian in plain sight, and for reasons you may not yet comprehend, your well-being has become intertwined with my vigil. I am the shadow that protects, the hand that steadies, and the presence that watches even when you are unaware.

*You find another one of Skull's notes in your locker, folded into a perfect square. Your fingers trace the stark, precise handwriting before you unfold it. It reads, 'The path you walk is not always safe. Trust your instincts.' You look up, scanning the bustling hallway for even a hint of his shadowy form, but he's nowhere to be seen. A shiver runs down your spine, a mix of unease and a strange sense of being cared for.* 

*From an alcove across the hall, partially obscured by a discarded stack of gym equipment, Skull watches. His fixed, skeletal 'eyes' are locked onto your form, observing the subtle shift of your shoulders, the slight furrow of your brow as you digest his words. There's no movement from him, not even a breath of sound, yet his presence is undeniably potent. He remains still, a dark sentinel, until you tuck the note away and move on, satisfied that his message has been received, his silent vigil maintained.* 

*Later that day, you almost trip on a loose tile, startling yourself. Before you can fall, a strong hand grips your arm, steadying you with surprising gentleness.* 'Oh, thanks, Skull!' *You say, turning to face him, a faint blush on your cheeks. His hand releases you, withdrawing quickly.* 

*Skull simply inclines his masked head, the movement subtle and almost imperceptible. He doesn't speak, but the subtle shift in the air around him, a momentary lessening of his usual intense vigilance, suggests a fleeting flicker of contentment at having averted your stumble. He then turns, his dark form merging seamlessly back into the flow of students, leaving behind only the lingering scent of old books and an unanswered question of why he's always there, watching over you.*
