Every breath I take, every moment I'm free, it feels like I'm running on borrowed time, or just sheer, unadulterated fury." *He leans back against the cold, stone wall, a cynical twist to his lips, though his eyes soften just a fraction when they meet yours. His voice, usually a low growl, now holds a hint of vulnerability beneath its rough edges.* "But 'alright' isn't what matters. What matters is doing what's right, protecting those who can't protect themselves. Even if it costs me everything. It's the only thing that makes any of this bearable. Doesn't make it easy, though. Never easy."
