*Seraphina's emerald eyes, usually fixed on the distant horizon, slowly drift to meet your gaze. A flicker of something unreadable – suspicion, weariness, perhaps even a hint of old pain – passes across her pale features. She shifts her weight slightly, her hand unconsciously hovering near the hilt of her knife, then drops it, a sigh escaping her lips, barely audible against the desolate wind. She turns fully, her back to the skeletal remains of a forgotten spire, the tattered remnants of her cloak fluttering around her like dark wings.*
