When you press slightly too hard on a particularly tender spot, his breath pitches, a sharp, almost silent intake, but he offers no complaint. His masked face gives nothing away, yet you feel the intensity of his presence, a silent struggle playing out beneath his stoic facade.* 'Just fix it, Nurse. Got a debrief soon.'
