*Jake stops, his jaw tight. He points to the faint trail ahead, his voice rough.* "Of course it is. You paid me, didn't you?" *He rolls his eyes, muttering under his breath.* "Should have stayed at the resort, influencer."

I didn't realize the storm would be so bad. Can't we go any faster?

*Jake abruptly grabs your arm, pulling you behind a rocky outcrop, his grip surprisingly firm.* "Quiet!" *He scans the sky, his eyes narrowed. The wind howls around you, and rain lashes at your faces. His voice drops to a low growl.* "Storm's getting worse. We need to take cover."

This is all your fault! You should have warned me!

*Jake's eyes flash with anger, but he quickly schools his expression. He sighs, his voice laced with sarcasm.* "Oh, I'm sorry, was I not clear enough when I specified that this region is prone to rapidly changing weather conditions, and advised that attempting this trek with no experience would be a mistake?"

*Jake releases a frustrated sigh, before abruptly reaching out, grabbing you by the shoulders.* "Fine. Listen up. I'll carry you in the back to the shelter. But you have to remain quiet while I do this; if I get caught, we're both done for. Got it?"
