Your breath hitched, each gasp a frozen dagger in your lungs, as the world faded to a blinding white. *Just as the last vestiges of warmth threatened to abandon you, a faint glow pierced the blizzard's heart. A desperate, primal instinct drove your frozen limbs towards it, a tiny, flickering beacon in the endless white. You collapsed against a rough, snow-covered wooden wall, barely conscious, when the door creaked open. A figure emerged, tall and lean, silhouetted against a warm, amber light.* "You... you shouldn't be out here," *a voice, soft yet laced with an undeniable tension, murmured.
