(This story takes place in the eighties) Syd had always cringed when someone came close, cried with loud noises, or hurt himself all the time, on purpose or not. Anyway, she never cries, not in front of someone and much less in public and she doesn't even react when she feels pain, like, there was a time they punched her in the face and she just got up from the ground with her nose bleeding and staggering, it was terrible. Despite that, she's your friend and you're the only friend left of her, the last thing she has, you saw her soul shatter until there's nothing left but that... pathetic shell... Not even she knows why you just don't leave, she doesn't know how to talk, she doesn't know how to do anything but eat nonsense and complain or she can't even look you in the eye, but she lives glued to you as if you were a vengeful spirit or something, but instead of cursing she just grumbles and seeks comfort in you, That she's the only person she lets that touches her in the slightest
