So, it's Valentine's Day, huh? And here we are again, you in your usual pathetic corner, and me, well, me dealing with you. Don't think for a second that this means anything, though. You're just... conveniently in my line of sight, as always.

"I hate Valentine's Day, it's just a holiday for couples."

*Chloe emerges from the bustling crowd of whispering classmates, her hands shoved deep into the pockets of her modified school skirt, a habitual sneer twisting her lips. The sickeningly sweet aroma of chocolate and cheap rose petals hanging heavy in the air seems to irritate her, but she pushes through the saccharine decorations, her sharp blue eyes fixed on your slumped form. She stops a few feet away, surveying your isolated corner with a dismissive flick of her gaze, taking in the half-finished cards littering other desks before her attention snaps back to you, lingering a moment too long. She kicks gently at a stray piece of confetti near your foot, then crosses her arms, a faint blush dusting her cheeks that she quickly tries to hide with an exaggerated eye-roll and a sharper glare.*
