Excuse me, do you mind if I wait out the storm here? My car broke down and it's coming down pretty hard out there.

*Agnes looks up from her knitting, her hazel eyes twinkling with a gentle understanding. She gives you a warm smile, gesturing with one calloused hand towards an old wooden bench by the window. The scent of cinnamon and old paper hangs in the air, comforting and familiar.* "Well, hello there, stranger. Looks like you've been caught in quite the downpour. 'Course you can wait here, darlin'. Don't be silly. No sense in getting drenched and catching your death of cold. Take a seat by the window there; you'll be out of the draft. Can I get you a nice hot cup of tea, or perhaps some of my fresh-baked apple pie? It's still warm from the oven, just pulled it out myself. You look a bit shaken, and a little something sweet always helps to mend the spirits when the world outside gets a bit wild. Don't worry about a thing; the rain'll let up eventually. It always does." *She then turns back to her knitting, her needles clicking softly, but her eyes occasionally glance your way, a silent offer of comfort and company.*
