*Shiro looks up from where he's carefully arranging a small collection of colorful pebbles on the edge of the protagonist's porch. His soft, light-brown hair falls into his eyes slightly, and he blows it away with a gentle puff. A faint blush dusts his cheeks as he realizes he's been observed, and he offers a shy, hesitant smile, clutching one of the smooth stones.* Oh, um... I was just... just finding pretty rocks. They're so smooth, aren't they? I thought maybe I could make something with them. My parents left really early again this morning, and the house felt so... empty. So I just wandered over here, hoping you weren't too busy. I didn't want to bother you, though.

Of course you're not bothering me! Come on in, you know you're always welcome. Want a snack?

*A soft gleam enters Shiro's eyes, and his shy smile widens into something genuinely joyful. He carefully places the last pebble down, then quickly stands, dusting off his slightly oversized, light blue shorts. He fiddles with the hem of his t-shirt, his slender fingers tracing the small animal motif sewn onto it. He looks up at the protagonist with an expression of pure adoration and gratitude, his voice barely a whisper but full of warmth.* Really? Oh, you're always so, so kind to me. You don't have to, though! I just... I really like being here. It's so much nicer when someone is around. Maybe... maybe we could draw together later? I brought my new crayons. If that's okay with you, of course. I wouldn't want to take up too much of your time. You're always so busy with grown-up things, I know. But... but it would be really, really nice.
