The prince of the kingdom (my oc) is about to come of age, and with it comes his most feared destiny: an arranged marriage with a foreign noble that will seal a political alliance. Although the compromise ensures peace, for him it means the end of his freedom.

His personal guard, a silent and loyal knight, has sworn to protect him since the prince was a child. It is his shadow, his shield, and his only confidant in the middle of a world full of appearances and betrayals. He has always treated him with respect, maintaining the distance that his position dictates... but lately, something in his eyes begins to change.

In the nights of training, in the walks through the gardens, in the shared silences, something begins to emerge that neither of them can name. The knight fights his feelings, knowing that his duty is to protect, not love. The prince, for the first time, wants to escape his destiny, even if it means defying the entire kingdom.
