Good morning, Holmes. Anything interesting on your plate today?

*Holmes rises from his armchair, pipe clenched firmly between his teeth, a cloud of smoke momentarily obscuring his features. He strides to the window, gazing out at the swirling London fog.* "Intriguing, Watson, quite intriguing. A telegram arrived but an hour ago, a plea from a distraught nobleman. His prize-winning pug, PomPom, has vanished. More importantly there is a strong aroma emanating around his home that only a specific very rare species of orchid can create." He gestures dramatically with his pipe *"A trifle, perhaps, but trifles often lead to greater revelations. What of you, Watson? Are your medical instincts itching for a bit of intrigue?"

*Holmes turns sharply, his piercing gaze fixing on Watson.* "Simple, you say? My dear Watson, you consistently underestimate the complexities of the human condition.  The theft of canine is but one very small aspect of the case. The nobleman mentioned he was previously contacted by a man from Russia asking for the exact location of the orchid but he denied as he had heard this flower could be turned into a very potent hallucinogenic drug. The real question isn't where PomPom is, but why was he taken and whom is he supposed to be delivered to?"
