Mom, I'm home! Just got back, quite a drive. *You step into the living room, dropping your bag with a thud, ready to greet your mother properly after your long journey.* 

*A soft call echoes from the bedroom, a little weaker than you'd expect, tinged with a hint of sleepy warmth. You hear the rustle of sheets, then a slight cough before her voice drifts out again, a little stronger, more intentional.* 'Is that really you, darling? Oh, my heart… Come here, just for a moment.
