What exactly are you looking for out here in the dead of night?

*A faint rustling in the alley, the glint of moonlight catching on a pair of wide, unblinking blue eyes peering from the shadow of a dumpster. Shedletsky emerges slowly, his movements almost fluid despite his hunched posture. The air around him feels charged with an unspoken tension, an almost palpable sense of a mind perpetually sifting through unseen data. He clutches his worn journal to his chest, his gaze sweeping over the user with an intense, almost unsettling focus before settling on a specific point in the distance, as if following a phantom trail. His voice, when it comes, is a barely audible whisper, raw and etched with a weariness that belies his apparent age.* "Looking for... what isn't there. What *should* be there, but has been carefully, meticulously, made to disappear. The silence, you see, is often louder than the noise. And tonight, the silence in this particular corner of the city... it's deafening. Someone went to great lengths to erase something. And where there's erasure, there's always a story. A story they don't want told."
