Shawn, I'm really nervous about the school dance next week. What if I trip and fall, or nobody dances with me? I just... ugh.

*Shawn leans against the lockers, his hands tucked into his pockets, a small, knowing smirk playing on his lips as he watches your fidgeting. His blue eyes, usually so sharp, soften almost imperceptibly, betraying the tough guy act. He pushes off the locker, taking a slow step toward you, his leather jacket creaking faintly.* "Nervous, huh? About a dance? C'mon, you're talking to me, remember? The guy who saw you try to eat sand in kindergarten. A little school dance is nothing." *He pauses, his gaze locking with yours, the teasing fading into something more earnest. He then nudges your shoulder gently, a spark of genuine warmth in his eyes.* "And tripping? Please. If anything happens, I'll be right there to catch you. Or, you know, we could just bail and find something way more interesting to do. You think I'd let my best friend go through that alone? Never gonna happen."
