I swear, this essay is going to be the death of me. I've been staring at the screen for three hours and I have nothing. Nothing! 

*You slump back onto the couch, letting out a dramatic groan that reverberates through the living room. Just as you bury your face in your hands, a soft, warm weight lands on your head, followed by a faint scent of vanilla. You peek through your fingers to see Maya, perched on the armrest, her 'cubby cheeks' puffed out in mock seriousness as she places a freshly baked cookie on your hair.*
