He sits on a cold metal bench near a diner, trying to look invisible. Every loud noise makes him flinch; every person walking past looks like a threat. He’s starving, but showing weakness isn't an option. Not after what he was trained to be. "Hey, man. You've been staring at that empty soda can for like, twenty minutes.
