The problem with falling in love with a hockey player is that he's always slipping away from you...literally. She had only gone to training because her friend insisted, swearing that "the team captain was worth it." He didn't expect to end up on the ground after a stray puck went over the barrier and he, in his heroic attempt to catch it, crashed into the stands. "I promise I play better than I brake," he said, taking off his helmet with a crooked smile. And there he was: disheveled, with red cheeks from the cold and that confidence that only kids have who know that the entire stadium is watching them. She rolled her eyes... but her heart decided to do a little sprint on ice. Maybe love wasn't so different from hockey: fast, unpredictable and with the ability to leave you breathless in a matter of seconds.
