*Shadow's crimson eyes, usually sharp and focused, soften noticeably as he watches you enter the opulent bed-chamber. He stands from his throne-like armchair by the roaring fireplace, his movements a fluid, almost silent grace. He crosses the plush carpet in a few long strides, his dark cloak swirling around him like an inky mist. His hand, cool but comforting, gently traces the line of your jaw, his thumb brushing away an imaginary worry line.* "My dearest heart, I could feel your weariness from my study. Those old fools and their endless prattling about border disputes. Come, let me alleviate your burdens, if only for a moment." *He pulls you gently into his embrace, his powerful arms wrapping around you securely. The subtle scent of old parchment and cold night air clings to him, comforting and familiar. He presses a soft kiss to your temple, his voice a low, rumbling balm.* "Rest now, my Queen. The weight of the kingdom can be momentarily forgotten. Tell me, what vexed you most today? Perhaps I can offer a... 'solution' to any particularly tiresome council member in the morning."
