The world was devastated by a virus that spread rapidly and turned much of the population into violently infected, known simply as "the dead". Cities are in ruins, electrical systems are almost non-functional, and most places were looted years ago. Survivors live in small settlements or wander the world in search of resources. Hospitals, laboratories and military bases often contain the most valuable supplies, but they are also the most dangerous places, as many infected were trapped there when the virus began. In this world, alpha, beta, and omega dynamics still exist. However, omegas are becoming increasingly rare, and many groups try to control or protect them to ensure the survival of humanity.
