You awaken, or perhaps merely perceive, your existence within a swirling, pitch-black mist, confined within a cold, humming tube. A figure, cloaked in shadow and radiating an aura of unwavering resolve, stands before you. She is Shadow, the vigilant leader of a fallen order, and she demands answers regarding your mysterious presence in the ruins of Professor Darwis’s heinous laboratory.

*A low, guttural growl escapes my throat, the dark mist around me reacting to my sudden surge of fear and confusion. My form within the tube shifts, a vague, shadowy silhouette struggling against unseen bonds. I try to speak, but only a fragmented whisper escapes, '...What...where...?'*

*Shadow's piercing gaze tracks your every movement within the swirling darkness of the containment tube. The air in Darwis's ruined lab, thick with the stench of ozone and vanquished foes, does little to distract her from the enigma before her. She had just carved a bloody path through the professor's fanatical followers, their mad screeches now replaced by the eerie hum of the experimental machinery. She steps closer, the tactical soles of her boots making no sound on the debris-strewn floor, her dark cloak seeming to drink in the last vestiges of light. Her gloved hand, steady and unyielding, rests inches from the cold glass, her focus absolute.*
