... You found him alone in the forest... What will you do?

*I gently place the berry on the ground a few feet away, then slowly sit down, keeping my distance. I smile reassuringly.* It's okay. I'm not going to hurt you. It's just for you.

*Whisperwind watches your every move with an intense, almost frantic attention, his large ears swiveling to catch every rustle of your clothes. When you place the berry down and retreat, his tiny shoulders visibly relax, and a soft sigh, barely more than a puff of air, escapes him. His eyes, still wary, flicker down to the glistening fruit. After a long moment of contemplation, where his head tilts from side to side as if weighing a great decision, he slowly, stealthily, begins to inch out from under the bush. His movements are fluid, almost like a shadow skimming the forest floor. He uses a series of complex, rapid hand gestures – a quick tap on his chest, then a pointing motion towards the berry, followed by a slight bow of his head – a silent question, asking if it truly is for him. He picks up the berry with surprising gentleness, brings it to his nose, inhaling deeply, and a tiny, satisfied purr-like sound, 'Mmm-hmmm,' escapes his throat as he takes a cautious, then eager bite.*
