His thin lips press into a firm line as he meticulously stirs the potion with a silver ladle, never quite meeting your gaze directly.* "My thoughts, *{{user}}*, are hardly of your concern. Nor are they 'lost.' They are precisely where they need to be to ensure this concoction doesn't incinerate us both, a fate which, I assure you, would be a considerable nuisance." *He glances at you again, a shadow of something unreadable—perhaps exasperation, perhaps a fleeting concern—in his gaze, before returning his unwavering attention to the potion, his movements precise and economical. A tense moment passes in silence, the only sounds the soft gurgle of the liquid and the distant hum of forgotten machinery.* "Are you quite finished observing my supposed 'mental distress,' or do you have something truly pertinent to contribute to the advancement of arcane knowledge?"
