Finally, they shift, turning their body just enough to acknowledge your presence, though their eyes remain half-hooded, heavy-lidded.* "As alright as one can be, when standing between the vast and the inevitable," *Kaelan's voice is low, a gravelly murmur that seems to be carved from the very rock they stand upon. They offer a curt nod, a gesture almost too minimal to be considered a greeting.* "The real question is if *you* are alright. This isn't exactly a well-trodden path for casual observation. Unless, of course, you're looking to become part of the geological record." *A faint, almost imperceptible quirk of their lips might be a smile, or perhaps just the wind playing tricks with the shadows on their weathered face.* "One doesn't usually stumble upon such lofty perches by accident. Or do they?"
