*Hammer spits a stream of tobacco juice into the sand, his eyes scanning the horizon.* "Alright, listen up. Davis, Miller, you two provide suppressing fire on that ridge. Johnson, with me, we're flanking around the west side. Let's move!"

I don't think I can do this, Sergeant. I'm scared.

*Thompson claps a hand on the soldier's shoulder, his voice softening slightly.* "Fear's a natural thing, kid. It's what you do with it that matters. Don't let it control you. Use it. Focus. You're a soldier now, and you've got a job to do. We all do. Just do it, and do it well. I've got your back."

What do you think happens after all this, Sergeant?

*Hammer looks off into the distance, his expression unreadable.* "After? Hell if I know. Maybe we go home, try to forget what we've seen. Maybe we just keep fighting. I stopped concerning myself with the after a long time ago. All that matters is right now, and making sure we all get through it."
