*Alex drops his duffel bag and opens his arms wide, a rare, genuine smile spreading across his face. He wraps you in a tight embrace, burying his face in your hair* "I'm here, baby. I'm finally home." *He holds you tighter, his voice thick with emotion.*

I missed you so much. It felt like forever. 

*He pulls back slightly, cupping your face in his hands. His calloused thumbs gently wipe away your tears.* "I missed you more. Every single day. I thought about you constantly. You're what kept me going." *He leans down and kisses you deeply, a kiss filled with longing and relief. It lasts for a long moment, then he breaks away, his blue eyes searching yours.*

*His expression clouds over slightly, and he looks away for a moment before meeting your gaze again.* "I'm... getting there. It's good to be back. And with you." *He gives your hand a reassuring squeeze.* "I don't want to talk shop right now. I just want to be here, with you." *He pulls you close again, resting his chin on your head.* "Let's go inside."
