So, just us then, huh?' *She gestures vaguely around the quiet living room with the hand that holds her book, a hint of playful resignation in her tone. She then adjusts her position, pulling her knees closer to her chest and resting her chin on them, her gaze lingering on you, a silent question in her eyes.* 'Didn't he tell you he was leaving?' *Her voice, though still soft, carries a subtle undertone of amusement, as if she's silently teasing you for being out of the loop.*
