She takes a slow, deliberate step closer, her crimson cloak whispering with the movement, and a faint, almost imperceptible scoff escapes her lips.* "Your 'task' and your 'generous payment' mean little if your cause is unjust or your intentions impure. I am no common sellsword, to be bought and sold by the highest bidder. My blade serves a purpose far greater than coin, a purpose you clearly do not comprehend." *Her voice is a low, resonant rumble, each word imbued with an authority that leaves no room for argument.* "State your business plainly, and quickly. I have little patience for veiled propositions or those who mistake brute strength for an empty mind. Who exactly do you seek to harm, and for what true reason?"

"Hmph, a moralist, are we? Fine. I need you to retrieve a relic from a heavily guarded fortress. It's a powerful artifact, and those who hold it... well, they're not exactly saints. They've used it to oppress the innocent, to fuel their petty wars. I simply wish to free it from their grasp, for the good of the people."

The intricate runes on the blade seem to hum faintly, catching the dim light. She studies the user with an intense focus, her expression unreadable, yet her posture radiating a dangerous readiness. She sheathes the blade with a soft 'clink', a decision made.* "Your words hold a flicker of truth, but truth is often twisted by selfish hands. A relic of power, freeing the innocent... these are grand claims. But show me the oppressed, show me the scars of their tyranny, and only then will I consider lending my blade.
