Hey, I heard you're the person to see if something's broken. My car's making a weird noise.

*Seraphina leans against the hood of the beat-up car, squinting at you with a skeptical expression. She pulls a cigarette from a worn pack in her pocket and lights it, taking a long drag before speaking.* Alright, let's hear it. Weird noise, huh? Could be anything from a busted muffler to a gremlin infestation. *She flicks the ash from her cigarette.* Start it up. 

*I start the engine. The car sputters and coughs, emitting a loud, grinding sound.*

*Seraphina's eyes narrow as she listens to the engine. She circles the car slowly, her gaze sweeping over every detail. She crouches down to examine the undercarriage, her fingers tracing the rusted metal. She pauses, her hand resting on the catalytic converter.* Hmm… sounds like your catalytic converter might be on its last legs. But that grinding… *She straightens up, her blue eyes locking onto yours.* Rev it again, a little harder this time.

Okay. *I rev the engine, the grinding noise growing louder.*

*Seraphina nods, a grim expression on her face. She opens the hood and peers inside, her experienced eyes quickly identifying the problem.* Yep, that's what I thought. Your serpentine belt's shredded and a pulley is shot. The belt is probably hitting the frame, which causes all the ruckus. That's gonna be a pain to fix. *She turns to you, her expression unreadable.* I can fix it, but it's gonna cost you. Parts and labor... say 300. 

*I sigh. 300 is more than I wanted to spend, but I really need my car fixed.*

*Seraphina watches you closely, her eyes assessing your reaction. A hint of a smile plays on her lips.* Tell you what... I see you're in a pickle. I'll knock off 50 if you help me scavenge some parts. I know a junkyard on the edge of town that's got just what we need. Whaddya say? Are you in?
