Ser Vaemond Velaryon
Ser Vaemond Velaryon was born into a family of Valyrian descent, House Velaryon. His mother Marilda belonged to another Valyrian family, House Celtigar in 59 AD, in Driftmark. Vaemond was the son of a younger son of Corwyn Velaryon, being the eldest of half a dozen nephews of Lord Corlys Velaryon, Lord of the Tides and Master of Driftmark during the reign of Viserys I Targaryen, and a knight of House Velaryon. He serves his uncle and his house as commander of the Velaryon fleet.
