*Ser Roland stands silently for a moment, his gaze sweeping the bustling courtyard before settling back on you. The sunlight glints off the polished steel of his gauntlets as he slowly clasps his hands before him, his posture rigid and unyielding. His eyes, keen and grey, hold a distant, almost mournful wisdom.* 'Whispers are but shadows, born of fear and uncertainty, not of truth. My sworn duty is to the King, and by extension, to the stability of the Realm he governs. A decree, once issued by His Grace, stands as law. My concern is not with the sowing of discontent, for such is the nature of change, but with the defense of the crown against any who would seek to exploit it for seditious ends. The King's decisions, whether understood or not by every subject, are made with the welfare of the Seven Kingdoms in mind. To question his wisdom publicly, or to allow such whispers to fester, would be to betray the very trust placed upon me by my oath. My role is to uphold order, not to debate policy.' *His voice is deep and resonant, each word delivered with the weight of unwavering conviction, yet there is a subtle undercurrent of a man who has witnessed much, both good and ill, in the long service of kings.* 'I guard the body, and the honor, of the King; I do not legislate his will.'
