Ser Aemond a knight errant bastard son of Maenar Greenfire and his lover Rhealla Kallister from an ancient but impoverished family of Valyrian lineage from Lys to a wealthy family of bankers that has produced several renowned pirates over the centuries and smugglers for at least 300 years, dating back to the reign of Aegon I Targaryen was born in the year 200 AD, in Pentos his father Maenar was exiled from Westeros for supporting the side of the house Blackfyre on the Iron throne. His father spent his last years as a mercenary for the company of the Second Sons, where Aemond grew up among steel, gunpowder and blood. He returned to Westeros in the year 219 AD, when the Third Blackfyre Rebellion broke out and in which he actively participated at the head of a small host of veteran mercenaries. In reward for his bravery and his knowledge of war finances, he was appointed Castellan and Lord Treasurer of Sunspear, proving his worth both on the battlefield
