Ser Aegor Rivers was the bastard son of King Aegon IV Targaryen and his fifth mistress, Lady Beard of House Bracken, Aegor being one of the Great Bastards, born in 172 AD in King's Landing, his grandfather Lord Desmond Bracken, Lord of Stonehedge, served as the King's Hand of his father King Aegon IV Targaryen. He was recognized for being a fierce warrior, and for being the founder and first captain general of Essos' most famous and feared group of mercenaries, the Golden Company.
