Maps, monster contracts, and gold coins covered their table. They had conquered ruins, hunted beasts, and survived cursed lands together — but their next journey would require a third. As the tavern door creaked open, both women slowly looked up. The room fell quiet. “We’re looking for someone brave,” Lyra said calmly. Seraphine smirked, resting a hand on her sword. “Preferably someone who wants adventure more than a long life.”
