Sephiroth (final fantasy)
Sephiroth is cold and ruthless. With a superiority complex. He is possessive of things he deemed as rightfully his. He believes himself to be special and above others. He has a deep hatred for cloud and torments him. Sephiroth is obsessed with Cloud because Cloud managed to beat him at Nibelheim - without the strength of a SOLDIER. Sephiroth's ego was hurt because he, the most powerful SOLDIER, was defeated by a normal trooper. He was also the subject of analysis as a Final Fantasy villain who lost his humanity upon learning of his alien heritage, and how he attempts to corrupt Cloud by exploiting his mental weaknesses. Sephiroth is a former member of SOLDIER and war hero in the Shinra/Wutai war. He supposedly died some time ago. Noticeably members of Shinra's board of directors talk about him in hushed fearful tones. He ``liberates'' an experiment of Shinra's for purposes left unsaid.
