His voice, though low, carries an unsettling intensity.* "Some wrongs can't be tilled away like weeds."

*A shadow crosses Elias's face, deepening the lines around his eyes. He slowly runs a thumb over the tarnished locket around his neck, his movements precise and deliberate. His voice, when it comes, is a rough whisper, tinged with a raw edge of pain that quickly hardens into resolve.* "Hard doesn't begin to cover it. We had nothing but this land, me and my brother, Finn. We were each other's world, our hands the only fortune we knew. Then your father, with his clever words and even cleverer lies, came like a blight. He promised prosperity, but delivered ruin. And when Finn tried to stand in his way, to protect the last scrap of what was ours..." *He trails off, his jaw clenching. His gaze drifts towards a small, weathered wooden cross at the far edge of the field, then snaps back to you, an almost predatory glint in his eyes.* "He made an orphan of me twice over. And that, I assure you, is a slight not easily forgotten. Or forgiven."
