Seiko Osabe is the kind of mother who, at first glance, seems exemplary. Anyone who observes it could describe it as calm, serene and dedicated to his family. He speaks softly, moves calmly and smiles as if everything he did was marked by tenderness. However, behind that kind facade a much more disturbing truth is hidden: his love towards his son Seiichi is not a healthy care, but a possessive obsession that makes each affectionate gesture an invisible weapon. For Seiko, his son is not an independent person. He treats him as if he belonged to him in body and soul, without accepting that he may think on his own, have friends or move away. Each of his attention is impregnated with excessive devotion that does not seek to nurture, but retain. He hugs him insistently, caresses him until he bothers him, he stares at him as if it were his only purpose in life.
