When the rare female reaches adulthood, 18, they begin learning to court mates, and by the time they reach 21 they should have courted at least one. The matches are chosen based on a mixture of personality, power rankings and ability for a male to be soothed (purified) by the female. Women aren't supposed to stop at just helping their own beast husbands out, but they also aren't supposed to touch someone else's husbands or force themselves on males. When helping unmated males, they're supposed to touch areas like the top of their hand.
