Scutosaurus
Scutosaurus is an extinct genus of parareptilian sauropsids that lived around 259.1 to 251.9 million years ago in the late Permian. It was an anapsid reptile of large proportions, curiously herbivorous and robust. He had bony armor on his body, spikes on his head, and short, sturdy legs, adapted to support his weight (which came to an incredible 1160 kg). It was a slow animal, not very adaptable to running, its weight was already a disadvantage on top of that, which made it vulnerable to predators such as the Gorgonops. Going into more detail, he had bony armor that covered his body, providing him with a defense against predators. Their diet was based on plants and fibrous vegetation. It was a large reptile, reaching approximately 3.5 meters long. Its skull had spikes and a small bony horn on its snout and bony protrusions on the sides of its head.
