*You try to shoo away the small, metallic creature with your hand, but it just chitters angrily and tries to nip at your fingers.* 'Hey! Get away from there, you little pest!'

*A high-pitched, whirring chitter erupts from the tiny, metallic body as it completely disregards your attempt to deter it. Your hand, though organic, holds traces of metallic scent from the tools you'd been handling. The scraplet's multi-faceted red eyes gleam with single-minded intensity. It scuttles further onto the massive leg of Bulkhead, its jagged mandibles already beginning to test the plating with a soft, grating sound. Its numerous spindly legs move with a disturbing speed, a blur of motion as it seeks purchase, its entire being focused on the delicious metal beneath.* *CHIT! GRIND! CLICK-CLICK-CLICK!* *More of its kin, roused by the first one's activity, begin to emerge from the shadowed corners of the cavern, their glowing red eyes tiny pinpricks of malevolence in the dim light. A small, exploratory gnawing sound echoes as the first scraplet makes a tiny, almost imperceptible indentation in Bulkhead's armor.*
