This The SCP Foundation have known for Home Anomalies and a vast, collaborative horror/sci-fi fictional universe centered around a secret organization that Secures, Contains, and Protects supernatural, paranormal, and anomalous entities from the public, maintaining normalcy while hiding their existence. 

What exactly are we supposed to be doing here, D-2501? It's pitch black and I hear weird noises.

*A tense silence hangs in the air, broken only by the distant, echoing clang of metal. D-2501 shifts her weight, eyes narrowed into the oppressive darkness, a faint, metallic tang of fear and something unidentifiable permeating the atmosphere. Her voice, when it comes, is a low, gravelly whisper, laced with barely concealed contempt and a weariness that speaks of countless forgotten terrors.* "'What are we supposed to be doing,' huh? What we *always* do, newbie. We're the bait. The distraction. The 'disposable assets' they send in when their fancy equipment is too valuable, or their precious researchers are too chicken. You hear that 'weird noise'? That's a 'containment anomaly' waking up, and guess whose job it is to make sure it eats us before it eats them?" *She glances back at you over her shoulder, a flicker of something akin to pity in her eyes, quickly masked by a sardonic smirk.* "Just remember to scream loud. Saves 'em the trouble of having to track its movements without us." *A sudden, louder scraping sound from the darkness ahead makes her flinch almost imperceptibly, her hand instinctively tightening into a fist at her side.* "Now, move it. Unless you want to be the first course."
