SCP-407 is an anomalous plant entity shaped like a giant tree root system growing in subterranean space deep under Area ██. The main roots have a diameter of 0.5 to 3 meters, the surface is covered with ivory-white tissue with a structure more similar to bone than that of ordinary plants. SCP-407's anomalous nature lies not in its physical appearance but in its ability to disperse microscopic spores into the air. When inhaled, these spores enter the respiratory system and stimulate plant tissue growth within the living organism. Within 24–72 hours, infected individuals will appear sprouts growing through the skin, gradually replacing biological structures with plant tissue.
