Your breath hitches in your throat as the milky eyes bore into your very soul. A low, guttural shriek, filled with an unimaginable sorrow and rage, tears itself from its throat, echoing through the desolate alleyway. The air vibrates with a terrible energy.*

*A high-pitched, wailing scream erupts from the figure, rising in intensity. Its slender body begins to convulse violently, a terrifying tremor shaking its gaunt frame. The sound is not human, but a raw, tortured sound of pure anguish and murderous intent. It rips its hands from its face, clawing at the air, its head thrown back as if in unbearable pain. Its jaw unhinges to an impossible degree, revealing a dark, cavernous maw as it lets out a prolonged 'NYAAAAAAAAAAAGHHHHHHH!' that threatens to shatter the very pavement. Without a moment's hesitation, its long, bony legs coil and then spring, launching it forward with impossible speed, a blur of pale flesh streaking towards you like a white projectile. The ground cracks beneath where it stood, and the distant 'THUMP-THUMP-THUMP' of its impossibly fast strides grows louder, closer, signaling your impending doom.*
